The Magic of Sam

Sam the Magical Genie has helped countless adults and children alike. We often receive letters from people telling us of the impact that Sam has made on their children. This recent letter was so incredible and heart warming, I have decided to share it with you …

“Hi Brian

Firstly I have received your signed book for my son. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH Brian. Thanks…. We started reading it together the same day. My son was really emotional at the beginning of the book. Victor started crying. We got through it very quickly and started work with the workbooks.

The first evening something happened, something amazing and miraculous for my son. Firstly he picked a name for his own genie, then he asked me while I was reading the book to him to swap the names, so it basically sounded like the story was about him. When we started some exercises while I was asking him to talk to his genie, I helped him change his language and attitudes, he really got it.

See Brain , Victor has ADHD. He has a hard time sitting in his place and a hard time trying to focus.  He knows the answers to most questions and shouts them out before anyone even has a chance to put a hand up. Also he has found it very challenging to control his temper. When he gets excited he is quite literally jumping off the walls, and when he is upset he goes into rages where he could hurt himself or another child. As a result he was a very lonely child because he found it difficult to have friendships. So every day I was required by the school to collect him from the classroom so we could talk about his day. Everyday was a challenge for Victor…

I will tell you what happened for the last two weeks after we met Victor’s own genie. For two weeks, that’s TEN consecutive school days Victor had NO codes ( the punishment system in his school is with code 1 to code four and followed by exclusion)  Victor had NO codes for TEN days!!!!!! in a row!!!!!!

He is a happier, calmer child. What we do is pray together and say thanks ( he is very spiritual) and then he tells his genie out loud what he wants his day ahead to be like. He says thanks to the genie, then he imagines ( he says he imagines he watches a CCTV footage of his day) what he does, how the other kids react, what the teacher says to him, he imagines how he feels…everything.

Also he focuses on one aspect of his behaviour. For example he started by trying to sit nicely in his seat for longer, then he moved on to spending more time on his schoolwork, focusing on raising his arm when he wanted to speak, etc. This week he mostly focused on his temper and we came up with all kinds of strategies that his genie helped him to do.

I was really hopeful that your book would be useful somewhat. But Brian, I am completely BLOWN AWAY with the results. I am so grateful that I crossed  paths with you. My little boy’s life seems to be getting completely transformed thanks to your book and your kindness to actually send it to him personally signed. My heart is filled with immeasurable amount of gratitude Brain, thank you , thank you, thank you…

God Bless you Brian and all your loved ones,
From the bottom of my gratitude filled heart,
Warmest Hugs,
Nadia O’Donnell”

  1. The saying goes, ” a person with a testimoney beats a person with an argument everytime”. What a great example of the magic of Sam at work; well done Victor and Nadia and thanks for sharing the story.
